This topic is no longer relevant only for specific user groups. Today, accessibility is a key quality feature of modern software development. It enhances usability for everyone and ensures more efficient work in facility management.

What has changed?

In the current version, targeted adjustments have been made to make the software more accessible. One example is the coloring of graphic objects in plans: these now appear with a slightly larger surface area than before. At first glance, this may seem unfamiliar – but it reflects a well-thought-out concept. The more intense and generous coloring ensures that people with visual impairments or those using smaller screens can better perceive the objects. This improves visual readability so that no information is lost.

Using the keyboard to navigate instead of just a mouse

Another highlight of the new version is the improved operability via keyboard. Dialogs and functions can now be fully navigated using the Tab key. This results in fewer clicks, better ergonomics, and most importantly: true accessibility for people who cannot or do not want to use a mouse. This step not only promotes inclusion but also improves efficiency for power users who work faster with keyboard commands.

Accessibility benefits everyone

Our adjustments not only meet legal requirements and standards, but also reflect our conviction: good software must be accessible to everyone. That’s why we continuously work on improving our solutions – with the goal of offering CAFM software that is intuitive, powerful, and usable for all.

Would you like to learn more about accessible software development at speedikon FM AG?

We are happy to advise you on the new features in speedikon C and show you how accessible solutions can make your daily work easier – regardless of any individual limitations.

Contact us for a personal demo or talk to our experts about your requirements.

With the current version of speedikon C, we are setting new standards in accessibility.
