Charly’s Colleagues – Achille Sateu Tabakem

Our clients are mainly in touch with the speedikon group of companies through individual consultants, but who are the various other members of our team who are involved in our projects and keep the business running? In our series “Charly’s Colleagues”, you’ll have the chance to meet our other team members every few weeks.

Achille Sateu Tabakem talks about his first few weeks with us as an IT consultant in data center management, what he particularly likes about his job and his connection to the Bergstrasse region.

Achille, you joined us last summer as an IT consultant. How were the first few weeks at your new job and how did your coworkers welcome you?

I was very nervous as I didn’t know what to expect and had no experience in the field. However, my fears and insecurities quickly disappeared as my colleagues were very open and willing to help. After a few weeks, I felt at home and was better able to handle new challenges.

How would you describe speedikon FM AG as an employer to your friends?

I would not describe speedikon FM AG to my friends as an employer. It’s like a family to me. I have encountered challenges a few times that I would not have been able to solve without my colleague’s team spirit and willingness to help. I always say “there are no problems in life, there are only solutions” and thanks to the support of my colleagues, you find solutions in everyday working life that you couldn’t have thought of otherwise yourself.

What exactly do you like about your job? Do you have any exciting projects you would like to tell us about?

The versatility, the collaboration with colleagues and the outcomes make my work special.

speedikon FM AG is based in Bensheim in the Bergstrasse region. What is your connection to the area and what do you like here?

I come from Cameroon and live in Mannheim. I knew Bensheim from my train journey to Darmstadt when I was a student. Until then, I had no connection to the city. But since I started working here, I’ve found to really like the city. I always go for a walk during my lunch break, and I’ve discovered some really nice places as a result. I like the nature here and it makes the city special.
