Cleaning management is still a very widely used application within the facilities management systems CAFM / IWMS. Thus, these functionalities do exist in the speedikon® C standard application. Generally new service specifications or the specifications for tenders for cleaning companies are created based on the existing rooms. New with speedikon® C platform is the possibility of using a dedicated cleaning polygon in addition to the standard room polygon. Of course this is not a necessity but a nice feature to differentiate also graphically between room polygons and cleaning polygons – which may well be quite different from one another.
Furthermore the attributes that relate to cleaning management such as flooring, cleaning group, cleaning cycle or cleaning area are time-dependent attributes, which can be edited on a daily time-frame. Changes to these attributes – as well as all graphical changes – are kept in the history automatically. Using the time machine all cleaning data can be analysed also for the past.
The cleaning group has also been separated from the cleaning cycle allowing the users more flexibility with regards to service specifications.
Using the cleaning price catalogue, one can store different prices for each service provider and each cleaning category, this in turn allows to calculate and monitor the costs each month – and obviously compare that to the invoiced costs.
Clearly represented lists graphical charts can be created with the standard functionalities of the speedikon® C platform. These lists can be exported to MS-Excel, in order to use them for new service tenders or for passing them on to service providers if these do not get direct access to the system itself.
