It was that time again on June 22 and 23, 2023, when speedikon FM AG successfully hosted this year’s Tech Days. This two-day event was jam-packed with exciting presentations, networking opportunities, and a tour of the newly established research lab known as the B-IT Lab. More than 40 clients had the chance to explore the latest developments in the C platform and other innovative technologies.
Once the participants arrived and enjoyed a light snack, the event kicked off promptly at 2:00 p.m. with a presentation showcasing the C platform roadmap for 2023/24. This informative session provided the audience with an overview of the planned innovations, enhancements, and features that will be implemented in the upcoming versions of the C platform. Furthermore, the research activities of the B-IT Lab were discussed, along with future challenges and trends in the industry.
This was followed by a presentation on the new technology called “Blazor,” which is already being utilized in various projects and modules of the speedikon® C platform. The participants were provided with insights into the background and the current development status of Blazor. Additionally, the practical advantages of this technology for everyday use were presented.
In the afternoon, the focus shifted towards the graphics component of the C platform. During an engaging presentation, the participants were introduced to the numerous features for 2D plans, 3D models, point clouds, and image models. These graphics functionalities hold significant importance for client projects and play a crucial role in enhancing efficiency.
The first day of the Tech Days concluded with a delightful gathering. Participants had the chance to unwind and socialize over refreshing beverages and grilled delicacies. This informal setting provided an opportunity for meaningful discussions and the exchange of experiences among colleagues.
On the second day of the Tech Days, parallel UserGroups were organized, covering various topics. Attendees had the option to join UserGroups focused on DAMS C, maintenance with speedikon® C, and energy and resource management with WiriTec® C. These intimate sessions allowed participants to openly discuss their everyday work challenges, learn from their colleagues’ solution approaches, and share their own experiences with the software applications.
Another highlight of the second day was the tour of the B-IT Lab. Participants had the unique opportunity to explore the newly established research lab and get a closer look at the outcomes of our research activities in the areas of artificial intelligence, augmented and virtual reality, and robotics. This exclusive tour offered insights into cutting-edge technologies and their potential applications in facility management, data center operations, and resource and energy data management.
In summary, our Tech Days were a resounding success. Participants had the chance to enhance their knowledge of the C platform, discover new technologies, establish valuable connections, and gain insights from other professionals in the field.
