Only a few weeks to go until the new version of the C-platform is to be released and used in our customers’ projects. Therefore, we want to use this blogpost to share some insights on new features and functions – of course in addition to the corresponding webinar.
One of the most important updates is the complete overhaul of the login mechanism and the management of user rights. With the upcoming version we are providing a unified user interface and single technology for the handling of various different login methods. No matter whether you are using a local login or a SSO via Active Directory, Azure AD, ADFS or Open ID Connect – all of those are supported. Further, features such as “forgotten passwort” as well as multi-factor authentication are included. To ensure that the number of profiles needed is reduced to a minimum, users can now be equipped with multiple profiles.
Many of the new features and improvements are concerned with the graphics functions. Just to give you a couple of examples:
- User defined print formats are enabled
- Easy to use functions for creating rooms
- Objects withing templates are tagged
- Functions for reassigning objects links after room are combined or separated
- Additional search criteria within the graphical search functions
- Dynamic assignment of search criteria and color presets
In addition to those very specialized functions, we have included new methods for transferring drawing frames. Also, very powerful and efficient tools for creating and editing large amounts of elements such as cost center allocations are part of the new version. Another tool set that has been improved and that is significant importance for many of our customers, are the means for anonymizing personnel data.
In addition to those improvements, we have also created some new modules and apps. One of them is the module for registering visitors that contains functions for managing and registering visitors and visits. A new app for capturing equipment and its corresponding data has been created using state-of-the-art technologies. In this app, the user is guided through each step of the capturing process making it fast and easy.
