Today marks a significant milestone for our beloved mascot and the face of our company, Charly the Chameleon—it’s his 8th birthday!
Charly embodies more than just the appealing mascot of our facility, energy and data center management software solutions. He represents adaptability and innovation, principles that are fundamentally ingrained in our company.
But why the name “Charly”, you might wonder? When we were brainstorming names for our software, the concept of a “speedikon/WiriTec cloud” was quite appealing. Back then, the idea of enterprise clouds was still fresh and our initial suggestion was met with some confusion. Ultimately, we settled on an abbreviation with the letter “C”, and from there, Charly was born!
With the name set, the next step was to find a visual representation. Our search for the perfect logo brought us to chameleons. Much like these extraordinary creatures, our C platform can seamlessly integrate into various settings—whether it’s a company’s intranet adorned with its unique corporate identity, external cloud services, or comprehensive IT systems, including ERP solutions and other pre-existing software applications. Intriguingly, in some cultures, chameleons are believed to possess the ability to time travel, courtesy of their uniquely mobile eyes. This concept aligns beautifully with the time machine feature on our C platform. Thus, Charly the Chameleon was born, becoming the ideal emblem for our solutions’ capacity to adapt to a wide array of customer requirements.
But Charly isn’t just resting on his laurels. In a world that’s constantly changing, staying ahead of the curve is crucial. That’s precisely why Charly is diving into artificial intelligence (AI). Through numerous research projects, we’re exploring the integration of AI into our C platform to enhance efficiency, refine data analysis, and deliver superior solutions to our clients.
We take immense pride in what Charly symbolizes and the strides we’ve made together. As we celebrate his 8th birthday, we’re not only reflecting on our past achievements but also eagerly anticipating a future brimming with innovation and new breakthroughs.
