Blockly in speedikon C

The possibility to now use the formulae editor when creating calculated columns in lists is one of the new features we have developed for the speedikon C version 6.2. Thanks to new technologies and user interfaces, creating such a formula can literally be done with a couple of clicks. The technology we have integrated into our search engine is called Blockly. Blockly uses interlocking, graphical blocks to represent the indiviual operators – basically a “Lego for formulae”.

Blockly supplies predefined operandsfor integers, decimals, texts, dates, to name a few. Those operands represented by blocks and can be combined to form the formula. This means that you can actually see how the formula is created and how the different operands interact. To add to this, we have combined Blockly with the existing properties of speedikon and all their links and hierarchies. Thereby, all data contained in speedikon can be part of a calculation created with Blockly.

In order to make life easy for you, we have included an online-help. This provides tipps and tricks on how to create formulae and which operands can be combined. All formulae created are automatically stored in the database. Thereby any formula created can be reused for future calculations.

This editor will also be available for creating calculated properties in dialogues from speedikon C Version 7.0 onwards.
