As already announced in our penultimate blog post, we are happy to present our new app for workplace booking. As a direct reaction to the pandemic Corona-situation, workplace organization will dramatically change in many areas in the future. Many companies are wondering how to integrate remote working conceptions into their corporate culture, and whether to do so in the first place. Also many employees tend to like the idea of working from home. However, having said this, the need to come to the office and meet colleagues on site in a somewhat familiar “office environment” will be sort of ever-lasting despite the fact that they are working from home more often. As colleagues in return will not have a fixed working place anymore, there will be the growing demand for adequate solutions to be able to book those flexible workplaces. It is an anachronism to have staff desperately searching for a free workplace first thing in the morning.
For this particular reason, our new app enables you to book workplaces easily and in no time. You just need to indicate in which location and for which time period you will require a workplace, and the app will immediately show you all workplaces available. Selecting the requested workplace, it will subsequently be booked for you and won’t be available for anyone else.
For colleagues to be able to get an impression on how their workplace is going to look like in a given space, , we have integrated our convincing speedikon graphics into the new app. You will see all workplaces graphically in the floor plan and their respective booking status marked in color; in red, yellow, and green. You can simply book your workplace by just clicking on a free one shown in green.
As plans tend to change permanently, later booking modifications or cancellations are just a matter of fact. You just need to select your requested booking from the list of your individual reservations and carry out any cancellations or modifications
Knowing that the specific „Look and feel“ is paramount when booking workplaces, we will integrate FRAMENCE functionalities into the new app to deliver a fancy highlight to our customers. Thanks to the integration of panoramic as well as detail pictures, you and your colleagues can view the workplaces prior to reservation without any rush and go for the most beautiful. As you know from the 2D graphics already, the color symbols are incorporated as well giving an indication about the respective booking status. Thus, you can select your workplace even in the picture and book immediately.
All bookings are centrally stored in your speedikon C implementation and can thererfore be used in additional processes. Typical applications would be cost allocations are cost center analyses.
Additionally, facing the current covid19-pandemic, it is possible to evaluate bookings even further. If the need should arise, an authorised user may track which staff sat together in a specific area or office. With this kind of information, potential chains for infection can be tracked. To ensure, that this need does not arise in the first place, the distance between the indivual work places can be highlighted within the 2D-graphics and also measured in the photos to be on the safe side.
